When buying a central AC system make sure it is 13 SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) or higher. In warmer climates, like Valdosta, it is better to have a 14 SEER or higher unit. The up front cost on higher efficient systems is more, but the long run energy savings will save you more and cover the extra cost.
